Performance REview
PURPOSE
This Performance Review is in response to Florida Statute Section 189.0695 (2021), which states that beginning October 1, 2023, and every 5 years thereafter, each hospital special district as defined in s.189.012 or by the board of trustees of a public health trust created under s.154.07, must have a performance review conducted. The review encompasses the District’s programs, activities, and functions. The purpose for this Performance Review process is to create a framework to determine areas that could be improved, show accountability, and implement best practices for sharing and disseminating information. This comprehensive review is designed to augment the Hospital District’s efforts and produce valid, measurable results for the public (taxpayers).
The mission of the Hospital District is rooted in the community served and sets them apart from any other healthcare organizations.
