Camp Haven

Camp Haven works to rebuild the lives of homeless men in Indian River County by providing temporary residency along with employment, psychological and personal counseling.
Childcare Resources of Indian River County

Childcare Resources of Indian River County

Their mission is to elevate and promote the highest quality early childhood development and education in Indian River County, focusing on economically challenged children and families.
Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital

IRCHD currently provides funds to assist for the provision of acute medical and psychiatric inpatient care, emergency services, and outpatient services and diagnostics, for IRC residents in need.

Dynamic Life Recovery

Dynamic Life provides a faith based program for men who are seeking a fresh start in life. They provide a structured living environment where you can discover your ​God-given purpose in life and ​the​ skills necessary for an amazing journey of recovery.

GlobeChek

GlobeChek is an eye care platform consisting of hardware, software, and an interconnected network of eye and health care providers. Their comprehensive testing has quickly rendered current tele-ophthalmology models (using only retina photos) antiquated. Their patented operating system and reading center software seamlessly deliver from the completion of the exam to the patient telemedicine visit with medical referral for follow up care when needed.
Hope for Families Center

Hope for Families Center

Hope for Families Center supports the transition of families from homelessness to sustainable permanent housing by providing safe shelter, food, and supportive services.

District funded program: Use of a Patient Navigator who assists the clients in obtaining Medicaid, health insurance, financial assistance, and/or other social services they are eligible for. The Patient Navigator will maintain ongoing tracking on referrals and registrations. Patients would be referred to appropriate services for follow-up care.
Indian River Healthy Start Coalition

Indian River Healthy Start Coalition

Provides health education and support for mothers, babies and families in Indian River County. District funded programs: These include the existing services of Newborn Home Visitation, Nurse Family Partnership and Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women.
Mental Health Association

Mental Health Association

The Center provides crisis intervention and individual therapy services to children, adults, and families as well as psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to adults. District funded Services: Outpatient behavioral health screenings, individual and group therapy, and psychiatry and case management services for those struggling with situational and life-altering events. Mental Health Court of IRC

Mental Health Court of IRC

The mission is to provide a court-supervised treatment-based program for individuals who have pending misdemeanor or felony charges and who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness or intellectual disability as their primary diagnosis.
MHC & McCabe Connections Center

MHC & McCabe Connections Center

The Mental Health Collaborative provides a seamless delivery of mental health care services in Indian River County. The McCabe Connections Center is a screening and navigation agency who assists community members in search of mental and health services

New Horizons

Primarily serves the severely and persistently mentally ill population in Indian River County District Funded Services: Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, Brief behavioral health status examinations, Medication management, Treatment planning/reviews, Outpatient therapy services assessments
Samaritan Center

Samaritan Center

The Samaritan Center provides transitional housing and guidance to homeless families in Indian River County and prepares them to live independently. The average length of stay is 6-9 months. During their stay, the Samaritan Center partners with resident families to provide a nurturing environment, safe housing, case management, support/educational services, and connection to community resources.
Senior Collaborative

Senior Collaborative

Senior Collaborative is a non-profit organization that navigates seniors, at no charge, to providers & services in Indian River County, FL. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of all Indian River County Seniors through a community collaboration of service providers, funders and advocates.

Senior Resource Association

Senior Resource Association promotes independence and dignity in our community by providing services to older adults and transportation for all. Provides programs and services that support and advocate this mission, including nourishment, supervised socialization, transportation, in-home services, and information referral services for adults 18+ and their caregivers.
Substance Awareness Center

Substance Awareness Center

Mission is to lead the county towards a healthier lifestyle by reducing the incidences of substance abuse through prevention, treatment and recovery support.

District funded Programs: Supports the work of the peers in both the Recovery Assistance program and in their role of outreach and engagement. The program is a recovery-based program that uses peers to help educate, engage and retain persons with substance use disorders into treatment and recovery.
Sunshine Physical Therapy

Sunshine Physical Therapy

Sunshine Physical Therapy is the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in the State of Florida that provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy to children and adults. They believe in the right of human potential that should never be denied simply because of an arbitrary decision by a far removed insurance specialist that conflicts with a patient’s doctor’s recommendation or because of the financial status of a patient.

TCCH is a Federally Qualified Health Center with locations in all areas of the county. Their mission is to provide accessible, cost effective, high quality, comprehensive health care to all persons, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. District funded Services: Medical, Dental and Behavioral health services for adults and children, preventing more costly, unnecessary emergency department visits.

Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council

The mission of the Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council is to prevent and end homelessness on the Treasure Coast and to assure that if homelessness happens, it is brief and non-recurring.
Tykes & Teens

Tykes & Teens

In partnership with the Indian River County School District, Tykes & Teens is committed to address the unique social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students identified as having an emotional or behavioral disturbance (EBD), an at-risk exceptional student education (ESE) population in Indian River County.

District Funded Programs: Services include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, parent/guardian and family interventions, and interventions targeting social and emotional learning skills. Therapists will participate as a multi-disciplinary team member and advocate for their student clients during IEP, 504, or other student planning meetings.

Visiting Nurse Association

The VNA provides compassionate, innovative care of the highest quality, setting the standard for patients and caregivers needing private care, home health, hospice, and community health services. Together, we provide the highest quality patient care.

District funded Programs: Home health services, allowing patients to return home from the hospital with assurance that their clinical needs are met. Hospice care in the home and at the Hospice House, delivering palliative, comforting end-of-life care. Mobile, immediate, non-emergent care services.
We Care Foundation of IR

We Care Foundation of IR

The “We Care” program was established in 1991 as a cooperative venture between the Indian River County Medical Society and the Indian River County Health Department, providing free medical treatment to residents of Indian River County who are otherwise financially unable to afford specialty health care. The program is designed to offer non-emergency care to low-income families, prevent medical conditions from becoming acute and, if possible, avoid emergency care and hospitalization. Important partners include the IRC Hospital District, IRC Board of County Commissioners and Treasure Coast Community Health.

Whole Family Health Center

Whole Family Health Center offers a full range of primary care and internal medicine services to adults and children of all ages including wellness visits, well-child services, immunizations, diabetes care, hypertension, behavioral health, diagnostic laboratory, screenings, volunteer family planning, gynecological care, preventative dental, health education, outreach, transportation and translation.

WILLIAM COONEY

William P Cooney MD is an orthopedic surgeon (retired) who has been a resident of Vero Beach since 2004. He practiced orthopedic surgery at Indian River Medical Center from 2006-2015 within the orthopedic practice of Prosports. He served on the IRMC Foundation for four years. Prior to this, he was a Professor of Orthopedics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, Chair of the Division of Hand Surgery and Vice president of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He served as the Vice Chairman of the Mayo Clinic Development Department. He has been President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation, Consultant at Shrine Hospital systems. He was editor in chief of the Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and co-editor of the Journal of Hand Surgery. He held grants in hand and wrist surgery sponsored by National Institute of Health (NIH) and Stryker Orthopedics and has over 250 publications in the field of orthopedic surgery, hand, wrist and elbow surgery and microsurgery- free tissue transfers. Within Indian River County, he has served as Chairman of the Board and President of the Hope for Families Homeless Center, Board of the Indian River Hospital Foundation, We Care and Whole Family Health Center medical practices.

KERRY BARTLETT

Kerry Bartlett,  of Vero Beach, has more than 30 years experience in philanthropy, including as vice president of the VNA & Hospice Foundation; VNA chief advancement officer from 2001-2007; and executive director of the Indian River Community Foundation from 2008-2014. Kerry is the founder of The Bartlett Company, which focuses on nonprofit and philanthropic consulting. She also is a managing director for Carter, a Vero Beach company that specializes in advancing philanthropy worldwide. Kerry has spent more than 25 years in the nonprofit sector as a fund development professional and has particular expertise in annual funds, major gifts, endowment campaigns and legacy giving. Kerry is also known for creating and implementing effective donor-centered stewardship programs that build, maintain and strengthen nonprofits’ relationships.

KAREN DEIGL

Karen has been President and CEO of Senior Resource Association, where she successfully advocates for older adults and their families, since 2006. In that role, she helps provide activities, education and services benefiting older and disabled adults in Indian River County. In addition, Karen provides oversight of the community mass transit system for residents and visitors of the county. As CEO, Karen is responsible for a $7 million operational annual budget and managing more than 100 employees. She ensures that fiscally sound and responsible solutions are created to provide healthcare and a better quality of life for all Indian River County residents. Karen earned a BS in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University and an MHA from the University of Florida. She was elected to the Indian River County Hospital District Board of Trustees in 2016, and joined the Board in January 2017.

PAUL WESTCOTT

Paul Westcott has been a Board Certified Workers' Compensation Attorney since 1999. In addition, Paul has earned his certification from the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil and Family Law Mediator. Receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economics and Political Science at Florida Southern College, he continued his education at Stetson University College of Law. He graduated from Stetson in 1988, having been a published member of the Stetson Law Review. Paul has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1988.  He began his practice in a combined civil litigation and transactional practice before serving as an Assistant State Attorney.  He began his career in Workers' Compensation with Rissman, Weisberg, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McClain P.A., where he handled Workers' Compensation cases at the trial and appellate levels.  In 1997, Paul opened the Ft. Pierce office of Hurley, Rogner, Miller, Cox, Waranch & Westcott P.A. handling workers' compensation cases at all levels throughout central and south Florida, while managing the operations of that office.  During his nearly 25 year career in Workers' Compensation, he lectured on a wide range of industry topics.

BARBARA S. BODNAR

Barbara has practiced physical therapy, specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine, in her hometown of Vero Beach since 1981. She was an integral part of the sports medicine team at Vero Beach High School for 35 years. Barbara completed the reserve police academy training, and served with the Vero Beach Police Department from 1982-1989. Her volunteer involvement in the community includes serving on the City of Vero Beach Recreation Committee, Arthritis Association of Indian River County, and the Senior Good Life Games. She and her husband, Michael, enjoy spending their free time traveling in their RV and training their Labradors, Gunner and Chase, in K-9 performance events, including agility and dock jumping. Barbara is a lifelong resident of Indian River County, and received her degree in physical therapy from Chattanooga State College. Barbara was elected to the Indian River County Hospital District Board of Trustees in 2016, and joined the Board in January 2017.

MICHAEL KINT

Born and raised in Illinois, Michael was a Theatre and Speech Instructor at Lincoln College when he moved to Indian River County in 1984. He was the Director of Education for the Riverside Theatre for a decade, helping to build the Riverside Children’s Theatre and directing many productions. Michael is well known in the community for his 25 years of service at the United Way of Indian River County, 16 of those years as the CEO. He is very proud of his work with dozens of nonprofit agencies and his commitment to creating and strengthening community collaboratives. Michael was also an Adjunct Faculty member at Barry University for 20 years. He has served on many boards and committees over the years, including: Children’s Services Advisory Committee Needs Assessment, Chair of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program for many years, and he was a founding member of the Mental Health Collaborative, the Senior Collaborative of IRC and the IRC Executive Roundtable. As a Hospital District Trustee he is committed to serving all the citizens of our county. In particular, he hopes to see enhanced availability and affordability for behavioral/mental health for all in need.

MARYBETH CUNNINGHAM

CHAIRWOMAN - SEAT 1

Marybeth’s professional career encompasses 34 years of working for GM/Delphi in a variety of positions. Starting out as a traffic claims clerk, she worked her way through the organization, with roles in Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality and Reliability. She retired in 2009 as the executive director of Global Operations for the Packard Electric Division of Delphi. In this position, she was responsible for 94 plants in 33 countries. Marybeth has served on the board of directors for numerous non-profits, including Northeast Ohio Adoption Agency; United Way of Warren Ohio, where she served as chairman of the annual campaign for two years; Up with People; Head, Heart and Hands of Indian River Club; Indian River Community Foundation, and the Indian River Mental Health Collaborative. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Albion College. Marybeth was elected to the Indian River County Hospital District Board of Trustees in 2014, and joined the Board in January 2015. She currently serves as Chair.
